Ultimate service conditions

Membrane type Polyamide Composite Membrane
Maximum operating temperature 113℉(45℃)
Maximum operating pressure 600 psi(41.4bar)
pH range, continuous operation 3-10a
Maximum Influent SDI 5
Free chlorine tolerance <0.1 ppm b

a. When pH > 10, the maximum allowable temperature for continuous operation is 95℉(35℃).
b. Under certain conditions, the presence of free chlorine and other oxidants will lead to premature failure of membranes. Therefore, it is recommended that the membrane be pretreated to remove residual free chlorine before water comes into contact with membranes.

Application Area

E-MEM residential membrane components are mainly used in various household water purifiers, mineralized direct drinking machines, hospitals, laboratory and other small systems.

Matters Needing Attention

  1. The data and information provided by Hangzhou-MEM Environmental Technology Co., Ltd in this sample are all obtained through long-term experiments, and we are convinced that these data and information are accurate and effective. Customers are requested to use the product in strict accordance with the design, use, and maintenance requirements of the product and keep relevant data records. Hangzhou E-MEM Environmental Technology Co., Ltd shall not bear any consequences arising from customers’ failure to use and maintain the products in accordance with the conditions provided by this sample.
  2. The permeate flow listed in the table is the average value, and the deviation of a single membrane element of permeate flow is±15%.
  3. Before products leaving the factory, the dry membrane element has no protective liquid, while the wet membrane element is stored and treated with 1.0% sodium bisulfite (10% glycerin antifreeze added in winter) solution and vacuum-packed.
  4. Dry membrane elements should always be kept wet after wetting. When wet membrane element is not used for a long time, in order to prevent the growth of microorganisms, it is recommended to soak the membrane element with protective liquid containing 1.0% sodium bisulfite (food grade)(prepared with RO production water).
  5. For initial use of membrane elements, it is recommended to flush first at low pressure for 15-25 minutes and then at high pressure for 60-90 minutes (water production not less than 50% of the system design). All production and concentrated water shall be discharged within the first hour of membrane element operation.
  6. It is prohibited to add any chemical agent that has an impact on the membrane element in storage and operation. If such chemical agent is violated, Hangzhou E-MEM Environmental Technology Co., Ltd will not bear all the consequences arising therefrom.
